One thing all woodworkers can agree on is that wood grain is a wonderful thing. Having said that, many of us may like different features, or characteristics, of grain.
Some tools are best kept tucked away – they work, but they are hardly things of beauty. Other tools cry out to be displayed, as they are far too elegant or beautiful to be concealed in boxes and drawers.
While a tape measure is a great choice for distances up to about 16', for longer distances a laser distance measure (a.k.a. digital laser meter) is easier and faster to use, highly accurate and offers much more functionality.
