SAWS Fine Works in Wood Exhibition 2023
Rob Brown
Some of the best woodworkers from Canada's west coast built pieces for the 40th anniversary exhibition, and the results show it.
After missing the previous exhibition due to COVID-19, the Southern Alberta Woodworkers Society (SAWS) was pleased to be able to present the Fine Works in Wood Exhibition 2023. This was the 40th anniversary of the event, which began in 1983. Some of the best woodworkers from the west coast built pieces for the exhibition, and the results show it. With about 50 pieces entered, it’s clear that woodworking, furniture making and turning are alive and well. Here’s a collection of the award winners. For more information and to see all of the other entrants, visit SAWS.ca.

Hi Rob, I see that the Saws furniture was shown with a piece of mine in it. Is there a way to get a hard copy of the magazine or is it only digital. Thanks!
Hi Ralph. You can order a print copy of the magazine here or you can take out a subscription here – and you’ll be automatically entered into our monthly draw for great woodworking giveaways.
