Joinery sled for table saws and router tables
March 21, 2025
Tackle complex joinery with confidence and precision.
Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new Joinery Sled. The sled uses the miter slot in your table saw or router table to guide a versatile worktable past the cutter. Some complex joinery cuts require a jig to make the cut safely, and often those jigs are custom-made for the cut at hand. Sliding dovetails, castle joints, angled tenons, and long miter angles are just some of the cuts made easy and accurately with the Joinery Sled. The worktable tilts to any angle between 91⁰ and 44⁰ and the fence can be positioned anywhere on the worktable for repeatable cuts. The adjustable pivot clamps firmly secure the workpiece to the table along the machined track clamp slots.
The Joinery Sled adjusts to the cut at hand through a series of adjustable bases. The phenolic base plate has 5-1/2″ of adjustment to fit nearly any size table saw or router table. On top of that, the two-piece upper adjustable base provides quick adjustment up 3-1/2″. Two pairs of guide bearings keep the adjustable base parallel to the base plate. When you’re close to your layout, the bearing-guided micro-adjustment makes dialing in the perfect fit simple and precise. Leveling feet on the bottom of the adjustable base provide stability during the cut and prevent racking.
The miter bar fits in any miter gauge slot with nominal dimensions of 3/8″ deep and 3/4″ wide. Woodpeckers patented leaf spring design compensates for poorly machined or worn miter slots, keeping the miter bar snug in the track. A removable T-washer allows the miter bar to work with both square and T-track slots.
A set of three t-track grooves machined into the clamping table provide flexibility in adjusting the fence and clamping your workpiece. The Joinery Sled comes with two pivot clamps but standard track clamps work just as well. The fence mounts anywhere along the length of the table and at nearly any angle. You can also adjust the height of the fence to avoid hitting the blade or bit.
Each Joinery Sled comes with a wall-mountable Rack-It® for storage when not in use. You’ll also get a pair of pivot clamps and one sacrificial fence, with additional fences and clamps available on their website.
